Under the supervision of the teaching staff (Dr. Sabah Al-Shujairi), students of the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Ashur visited the Al-Shaljiya Bridge, adjacent to the University of Ashur, in order to see the stages of work and the high rate of completion, in order to provide the students with practical information and simulate the scientific and applied aspect. Those in charge of the project welcomed the idea and explained it. The engineer supervising the bridge provided the students with the work paragraphs and what was achieved through laboratory tests, digging the supports, installing the joists, pouring the approaches, making stalactites, erecting the electrical poles, and reaching the completion rate, which is in the final stage, noting that the bridge is (440) long, has two aisles on each side, and each tributary is (60,000) long. 38 meters and a total of 98 tributaries. It is now in the final stages and it is hoped that it will be opened on 5/28/2024, three months before the scheduled date, which will be one of the promising achievements made by the esteemed Sudanese government in resolving the traffic crisis and eliminating traffic jams that have become a crisis in the beloved capital, Baghdad. We hope for more reconstruction and achievement in our beloved country, Iraq. All success and success to those in charge of this project.
