Drug addiction, its effects and methods of treatment

The College of Pharmacy held a scientific workshop on Sunday 12/5/2024 in the conference hall under the title (Drug Addiction, Its Effects and Treatment Methods). The workshop was presented by Dr. Nour Hassoun Suwaih, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy, and was attended by a number of college professors and students. The lecturer initially talked about the types of drugs and the effect of each type on the user and the complications they cause him, which are many, some of which affect him psychologically and behaviorally and cause him convulsions and damage to brain cells, and their use often leads to suicide in addition to other problems. The lecturer also talked about treatment methods, which begin first psychologically through the family and society and medically through treatment centers.
