The University hosted the sports carnival of the Iraqi Central Cycling Federation.

On Saturday evening, 6/1/2024, Ashur University hosted the sports carnival on this occasion, which was organized by the Iraqi Central Cycling Federation with the participation of Baghdad clubs and a number of provincial clubs. It was sponsored by Ashur University and Al-Rafidain University College. The President of Ashur University, Prof. Dr. Kazim Abboud Al-Majidi, and the President of the Iraqi Olympic Committee, Mr. Aqeel Muftan, participated in this celebration, in addition to the participating athletes. This participation indicates the great support provided by Ashur University and the Olympic Committee in order to expand the base of the game and spread it widely throughout Iraq.
