Concluding a twinning and joint cooperation agreement between Ashur University and Mustansiriyah University
A twinning agreement and joint scientific cooperation was signed between Ashur University and Al-Mustansiriya University on Monday, 5/13/2024, at the presidency of Al-Mustansiriya University. The agreement was signed on behalf of Ashur University by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Kadhum Abboud Al-Majidi, and on behalf of Al-Mustansiriya University by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hamid Fadel Al-Tamimi, In the presence of the assistant presidents of the two universities and a number of college deans, the signing of the agreement comes in light of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding conducting and activating scientific twinning between public and private universities and exchanging experiences and knowledge. The agreement included several aspects, including teaching, scientific research, student activities, administration and career development. The signing of the agreement comes Within the vision of Ashur University to hold a twinning contract with reputable national and international universities to enhance scientific and cultural cooperation and strengthen bridges of academic research work to serve the educational process of our country, Iraq.
Upon completion of the signing, the President of Ashur University, Professor Dr. Kadhum Al-Majidi, praised this agreement, stressing that it will serve the development of educational performance in the two universities, which will reflect positively on the educational process of Ashur University, given that Al-Mustansiriya University has a distinguished scientific and academic position among Iraqi, Arab, and international universities. For his part, Mr. welcomed the agreement. The President of Al-Mustansiriya University cooperated in signing this agreement to develop areas of joint coordination in the academic work environment, praising the scientific development that Ashur University has achieved in light of the great support given by the university presidency and the presence of qualified professors, stressing the status of Al-Mustansiriya University’s capabilities to advance the educational process for the better.
