Law department workshop

In the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Assyria University, the respected Assistant Professor Dr. Kazem Abboud Al-Majidi, the Department of Law at the College organized a workshop on Sunday 12/18/2022 under the title (The Role of Real Estate Finance to Manage the Housing Crisis), prepared and presented by M. M. Saja Sahib, a lecturer in the Law Department. The lecturer touched on the multiple causes of the housing problem in Iraq and the role of real estate finance in addressing this problem by providing financial loans to individuals wishing to build a residential house with a low interest rate and an appropriate repayment period so that people with limited income can own a house. She touched on the legal paragraphs that deal with the process of non-payment or delay in payment, and the lecturer stressed the conditions that banks put forward for the purpose of financing, such as determining the interest rate on the loan and the repayment period, requesting a guarantor person and seizing the house until payment is made for the purpose of preserving public money. A number of heads attended the workshop. Departments, professors, and students. During the workshop, many questions were asked regarding the topic, and they were answered by the lecturer.
