Health awareness campaigns about a number of diseases
Fourth stage students in the Department of Pharmacy at the University College of Ashur continue their awareness campaign about some common diseases in order to increase health awareness among citizens. This campaign comes with the support of the Dean of the University College of Ashur, Professor Dr. Kazem Aboud Al-Majidi, and the head of the Department of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kazem Al-Araji It was supervised by Dr. Zina Tariq, a teaching assistant in the Pharmacy Department. The campaign included introducing some diseases, including them.
Tuberculosis (TB):
It is a contagious disease that a person develops as a result of infection with bacteria that attack the lungs and may infect other parts of the body, including the spinal cord, kidneys, and brain. The disease is transmitted by breathing air contaminated with bacteria, direct contact and droplets when sneezing and other ways. Symptoms of the disease include a persistent cough for three weeks More and more blood with coughing, chest pain when breathing, severe fever and other symptoms.
Asthma :
Asthma is a disease that affects the air passages of the lungs, inflaming and narrowing them. Asthma suffers about (235) million people, according to the World Health Organization, and is considered one of the most common chronic diseases among children. Asthma has causes, including: genetic factors, air pollution, viral infection of the respiratory system, dust and dander. the animals .
Polycystic ovary syndrome:
It is considered one of the most common hormonal disorders in women, and the name came because the ovulation sacs are trapped directly under the ovary and remain unable to release the eggs from them, turning into multiple small cysts.
Symptoms of the disease include: difficulty getting pregnant, obesity, acne, and excess facial hair. Complications of the disease are: diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, and blood pressure. As for how to prevent complications, it is done through healthy food, sports, and avoiding smoking.
