Scientific Symposium
Under the patronage of the Dean of the University College of Assyria, the esteemed Assistant Professor Dr. Kazem Aboud Al-Majidi, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Qassem Al-Lami, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Faleh Hassan Al-Mousawi, Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies, the department held a scientific symposium on Sunday 4/17/2022 entitled (Cells The mesenchymal stem and its importance in treating a number of diseases) by (M.M. Sally Mazen Akram), teaching in the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques.
The symposium dealt with the topic of stem cells, their types and sources, the most prominent of which was mesenchymal stem cells, due to their ease of isolation compared to other types of stem cells. Which is considered medical waste. At the end of the lecture, Associate Dean Dr. Ghassan Al-Lami praised the information presented, considering stem cell therapy as a revolution in modern medicine.
