Under the patronage of the Dean of the University College of Ashur, Assistant Professor Dr. Kazem Aboud Al-Majidi, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Medical Devices Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Al-Khafaji, the department held a scientific workshop in cooperation with the Ministry of Health / Rusafa Health Department on Monday, February 28, 2022 under the title (Design And the implementation of a medical device using artificial intelligence technology and neural networks to monitor Covid-19 patients through a security communication system).
The workshop dealt with how to reduce the effort made by doctors and health care providers through a set of sensors that are placed on patients with Covid 19 disease who are subject to quarantine to monitor their health status through Internet of Things (IOT) technology. These devices will reduce human error and reduce the number of doctors The size of the medical devices required to monitor patients, and these devices send alerts via e-mail and SMS messages in the event of any danger to the patient's life. The project reviews electrocardiogram (ECG), body temperature, blood oxygen generation, heart rate, respiratory rate and glucose measurement blood pressure, galvanic skin response (GSR), and airflow. The workshop was moderated by Ms. Alaa Hussein Abdel Aal, a lecturer in the Department of Medical Devices Technologies Engineering, and the senior technical chief of medical devices, Haider Aboud Hassouni / Rusafa Health Department, and attended by a number of heads of departments and students of the department. At the end of the workshop, the Dean, the lecturer, Mr. Haider Aboud, awarded a certificate of appreciation for the efforts he made to make the workshop a success.
