Workshop on human and women's rights

In the presence of the Dean of the University College of Ashur, Assistant Professor Dr. Kazem Abboud Issa Al-Majidi, the Department of Law at the University of Ashur College held on Tuesday, 12/14/2021, a workshop entitled (Human and Women’s Rights), which comes within the activities of the (16 days) to combat violence against women Which started from 11/25 to 12/10 to limit or prevent cases of violence against women in all its forms, compensate them for the damage they have suffered as a result of these practices, and demand their rights sanctioned by international conventions, and obligate states to guarantee those rights in their internal legislation. And the lecturer at the workshop was Prof. Dr. Rana Salam Amana, a lecturer in the Law Department and a researcher in the field of human rights, Legal Adviser (Haider Jaseb Oreibi). The lecturers spoke about many issues of concern to women, especially the violence they are exposed to at home, work and the street. In addition to cases of bullying that has become a phenomenon these days. The symposium was attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Qassem Al-Lami, and a number of heads of departments, teachers and students. At the end of the workshop, the Dean kindly offered a certificate of thanks and appreciation to the lecturer.
