Education announces the acceptance of more than two hundred and eleven thousand students (211402) in universities
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, announced the acceptance of (211402) male and female students in universities within the central admission channel for the first and second rounds of the 2021/2020 academic year.
During the conference on announcing the results of admission, in the presence of the ministry's advanced staff, the head and members of the Parliamentary Education Committee, he said that the number of students participating in the ministerial examinations for the bio-applied and literary branches of the preparatory study is (453267) male and female students, while the number of successful students in the first and second round reached (262593) male and female students.
He added that the number of students accepted from the graduates of the biological branch reached (111249) male and female students, while the number of accepted graduates of the applied branch reached (36123) students, and (64030) graduates of the literary branch were accepted.
He added that the rates and minimum limits for the medical group colleges amounted to (99.6%) for medical schools, (98.8%) for dental colleges, (98.5%) for colleges of pharmacy, indicating that the percentage of increase compared to the results of the last academic year amounted to (156%).
The Minister of Education indicated that the number of students admitted after expanding the admission plan for the most prominent majors were (1836) male and female students for medical technology majors, (2925) male and female nursing students, (22393) engineering students, (25200) science students, and (52,641) education students. And basic education, (4474) students of law, (18842) students of administration and economics, (16921) students of medical institutes, and (17105) students of technological institutes.
He explained that the number of students admitted to the Martyrs Channel reached (9543) male and female students, as this channel included the acceptance of (2426) male and female students in the category of victims of the former regime, (6807) male and female students in the category of victims of terrorism, and (310) male and female students in the category of martyrs of the popular crowd .
His Excellency the Minister noted the cases in which an objection can be submitted, represented by students who submitted the electronic form and did not appear for them acceptance, for students who did not present in the first and second rounds, and for those who were accepted, whose rates exceeded 75% or higher, and appeared to be accepted in one of the institutes.
He pointed out that the ministry will soon launch a special electronic form for students who are successful in the third round, after receiving their data from the Ministry of Education, stressing that universities take their role in expediting registration procedures and starting next Saturday, corresponding to 12/19/2020.
