Visit the Biosafety and Security Measures Assessment Team

The Biological Safety and Security Procedures Assessment Team, which consists of representatives of the (National Monitoring Authority, a number of security agencies and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research) has visited the laboratories of Ashur University College with the aim of implementing a program for evaluating biological security and safety procedures and measures in laboratories and sites related to biological activities for the purpose of implementing the law The National Control Authority for Non-Proliferation No. (48) for the year 2021 and for fulfilling Iraq’s international obligations towards the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons, developing work and raising awareness among laboratory workers in the field of risk management. The team was received by the Dean of the University College of Ashur, Assistant Professor Dr. Kazem Aboud Issa Al-Majidi, the respected Who provided a detailed explanation to the team members about the measures taken by the Dean of the College to maintain the security and biological safety in the college laboratories. He accompanied the team during its visit to the laboratories in which it met with a number of laboratory officials and inquired from them about their procedures in this field, Mr. Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Qassem Al-Lami.
