University Basketball Championship

The President of Ashur University, Prof. Dr. Kazim Al-Majidi, received the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sareeh Abdul Karim, and the Ashur University basketball team, which was able to attract attention through the competitions of the Iraqi Universities Championship in 3x3 basketball, in which it was able to defeat Al-Rafidain University with a score of (9-1), then Al-Kitab University with a score of (10-1), then Diyala University with a score of (8-7), Al-Qasim University (9-1), and finally Al-Mashreq University (9-1) to qualify for the round of 16, where it met Al-Mustansiriya University. It was a decisive match in which Al-Mustansiriya team was able to defeat our university with a score of (18-12), and thus our university obtained the ninth place out of 47 universities. Therefore, this effort did not come out of nowhere, but the role of the President of the University played the greatest role through his continuous support, as well as the Administrative Assistant, the President of the University, Dr. Muhannad Al-Mahdi.
