Message from the Dean of the

College of Engineering

I am pleased to be with you today to talk about the establishment of the College of Engineering in addition to the departments that make up this academic edifice that we are proud of.

The College of Engineering was established at the beginning of the academic year 2023-2024 with the aim of providing society with engineering competencies capable of keeping pace with technical and innovative challenges in various fields. From the beginning, the college has been seeking to achieve a clear vision, which is to prepare distinguished engineers in various engineering disciplines, capable of making a change in the world through critical and creative thinking.

The college includes a number of diverse engineering departments that keep pace with the needs of the labor market and contribute to the development of industry and society. Among the most important departments that the college is proud of are:

1- Department of Civil Engineering: This department was established at the beginning of the academic year 2017-2018.

2- Department of Biomedical Engineering: The department was established at the beginning of the academic year 2021-2022.

3- Department of Architecture Engineering: This department was established at the beginning of the academic year 2023-2024.

4- Department of Cybersecurity Engineering: This department was established at the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year.

5- Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering: This department was established at the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year.

6- Department of Renewable Energy Engineering: This department was established at the beginning of the academic year 2023-2024.

7- Department of Construction Engineering and Project Management: This department was created at the beginning of the academic year 2024-2025.

Each of these departments relies on modern scientific foundations and high academic standards to ensure the provision of distinguished engineering education, with great attention to the applied aspect that enables students to gain the practical experiences necessary for the labor market.

My dear students, the path you are on today is the path of excellence and distinction. You represent the hope of achieving progress and development in your society, and the college is committed to providing everything you need from an educational environment equipped with the latest technologies and educational methods. My advice to you is diligence and perseverance.

They are the key to success in the field of engineering. Do not be afraid of failure, as every failed step is an opportunity to learn and grow. Always remember that teamwork and cooperation are the key to success in the world of engineering. Work on developing your practical skills alongside your academics.
