The President of Ashur University, Prof. Dr. Kadhim Al-Majidi, participated in a meeting convened by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to discuss admission mechanisms for private universities and colleges, as well as the necessary preparations for launching admission procedures for the new academic year.

The meeting was chaired by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahad, and was attended by the Director General of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, the Director General of the Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up, along with presidents of private universities and colleges and their respective heads of registration departments.

The meeting addressed the approved admission procedures and regulations, the organizational and technical aspects of the application and registration stages, and the requirements for private universities and colleges to implement admission processes in accordance with current ministerial instructions and guidelines.

Discussions also covered various inquiries and observations regarding the implementation of admission procedures, with the presentation of relevant insights and proposals. Necessary clarifications were provided on technical and organizational matters to ensure procedural clarity and to standardize operational practices across private higher education institutions.

The participation of the Ashur University President in this meeting underscores the university's commitment to aligning with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, actively engaging with updates to the admission system, and enhancing its administrative and organizational readiness to welcome students for the new academic year, thereby ensuring the efficient and smooth implementation of approved procedures.
