Ashur University students continue their training program at Teesside University in the UK with an introductory and academic tour.
Under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdul-Razzaq Al-Majidi and Prof. Dr. Kadhim Abboud Al-Majidi, President of Ashur University:
As part of the summer training program involving Ashur University students at Teesside University in the UK—and in line with the university's commitment to providing a comprehensive academic experience—the student delegation continued its activities at the British institution. The program featured orientation and academic sessions covering various aspects, services, and facilities available to the participating students.
The program included a comprehensive orientation lecture about the United Kingdom and the city of Middlesbrough. This session covered key information regarding daily life, the social and cultural environment, and essential guidelines for their stay. It also highlighted practices to avoid and showcased major landmarks and sites students could visit to enrich their experience and learn about the UK's history, culture, and society.
Students were also introduced to Teesside University’s various facilities and the services available to them during the training program, as well as how to access and utilize them. These measures aim to provide an environment conducive to study, training, and academic engagement.
On the technical and academic front, each student was provided with a dedicated university account. This grants access to Teesside University’s online platform, allowing students to view details regarding the training course, lectures, educational materials, and program-related events, thereby facilitating the organization of their participation and their engagement with various academic activities. The students were also issued official Teesside University ID cards, granting them access to university services and facilities designated for participating students. Additionally, accounts were created for them at the university’s health center, ensuring they could receive necessary healthcare and support in emergencies during their time at the university.
The day’s activities included a visit to the Teesside University library and the Digital Building, where students explored available educational and technical resources and learned about the services the university provides to support education, research, and training.
These activities are part of a training program organized by Teesside University for Ashur University students, conducted under an academic and scientific cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The agreement aims to foster academic exchange, develop students' scientific and professional skills, and provide them with opportunities to experience modern educational practices at global universities.
