In a move aimed at strengthening scientific partnerships and developing educational curricula, a high-level delegation from Ashur University visited the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine to build bridges of cooperation and exchange of knowledge, technical expertise, and services with the General Secretariat of the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine.

A high-level delegation from Ashur University, headed by the University President, Professor Dr. Kadhim Al-Majidi, and including deans and heads of specialized departments, paid an official visit today, Saturday, to the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine. During the visit, they met with the Secretary-General of the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Anbari.
The meeting focused on strengthening joint cooperation and advancing scientific and community initiatives. Several important strategic topics were discussed, most notably:
* Updating Curricula: Discussing mechanisms for developing academic curricula to align with scientific advancements and the demands of the job market.
* * Technical and Community Support: Sharing expertise to provide technical and community support to university council members and faculty.
* Specialized Empowerment: Enhancing the skills and capabilities of specialized departments within the university through joint collaborative programs.
During the meeting, Professor Dr. Kadhim Al-Majidi expressed his profound appreciation for the exceptional efforts exerted by the Secretary-General and the staff of the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine. He commended the promising projects and aspirations presented by the Secretary-General during the meeting, emphasizing that they reflect a progressive vision that effectively contributes to community service and scientific and technical support.
In the context of strengthening service and community cooperation, the University President announced the opening of the doors of Ashur University's facilities to the staff of the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine, enabling them to benefit from the advanced medical and therapeutic services it offers. He affirmed the university's commitment to providing full support to institutions that serve the community.
In a gracious gesture reflecting the depth of mutual affection and appreciation, the meeting included an exchange of commemorative shields between the two parties. The President of the University presented the Secretary-General with the University of Ashur's shield, and in return, the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine presented the President with two precious and blessed marble relics, representing two pieces of ancient marble removed from beneath the holy shrines. One relic was from beneath the shrine of Imam al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), and the other from beneath the shrine of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him).
On the sidelines of the visit, the academic delegation toured the Holy Shrine's wood carving exhibition. The University President and his accompanying delegation viewed the creative artworks and distinguished exhibits depicting the noble lives and legacy of the two Imams al-Jawad (peace be upon them), as well as works that meticulously document the rich history of the area surrounding the Holy Shrine.
In honor of the University of Ashur delegation, the Secretary-General of the Holy Kadhimiyya Shrine hosted a luncheon (invoking the blessings of the two Imams al-Jawad (peace be upon them)) in honor of the University President and his accompanying delegation of deans and department heads, celebrating this auspicious visit and embodying the bonds of brotherhood and bilateral cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Dr. Kazem Al-Majidi extended an official invitation to the Secretary-General, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Anbari, to visit the headquarters of Ashur University and view its landmarks and vital facilities, and to discuss the possibility of holding joint scientific and cultural seminars and conferences, as well as opening the way for the Holy Shrine to benefit from the academic expertise and competencies possessed by the university’s professors in various fields.
