Ashur University hosts the periodic meeting of the Cultural Committee affiliated with the National Standing Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance

Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ashur University hosted the periodic meeting of the Cultural Committee of Private Universities, affiliated with the National Standing Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance, on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The meeting was attended by committee members representing the Ministry and the presidents of public and private universities.

The meeting discussed several topics and issues related to the role of universities in promoting community and cultural awareness. These included monitoring and addressing social phenomena, strengthening national and cultural identity among students, and activating awareness and guidance activities and programs that contribute to serving the community and instilling positive values.

Participants emphasized the importance of unifying efforts among higher education institutions and relevant stakeholders, and activating cultural and awareness initiatives and activities in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This will enhance the role of universities in addressing societal issues and building a conscious and responsible generation.
