The Council of Ashur University holds its seventh session for the academic year 2025-2026

The University of Ashur Council held its seventh session for the 2025-2026 academic year on Sunday, July 5, 2026, chaired by the University President, Professor Kadhim Aboud Al-Majidi, and attended by the members of the University Council.

The University President opened the session by welcoming the members of the Council and commending the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff in fulfilling their assigned tasks and responsibilities during the 2025-2026 academic year. He noted the positive results of these efforts, which contributed to enhancing the quality of academic performance and advancing the educational process at the university. He also expressed his appreciation to the faculty members who achieved outstanding results in the assessment examinations, praising their efforts in supporting quality standards and academic excellence.

As part of monitoring the university's academic and administrative plans, the University President directed the implementation of several measures, most notably:

* Completing all requirements for the formation of industrial advisory councils in the university's colleges, thereby strengthening partnerships with the productive sectors and the labor market.

* Expediting the completion of national institutional and program accreditation requirements for the relevant departments, in accordance with the standards approved by the competent authorities.

* Expediting the issuance of administrative orders for the graduation of first-semester students in the current academic year across all academic departments, ensuring that administrative procedures are completed within the specified deadlines.

Following this, the University Council discussed the items on the session's agenda, reviewed several academic and administrative files, and made appropriate decisions and recommendations regarding them, in line with the university's plans and directions aimed at developing institutional performance and enhancing the quality of university education.

At the conclusion of the session, the University President expressed his gratitude to the members of the Council, commending their diligence and constructive engagement in discussing the topics presented. He emphasized the importance of continuing to work as a unified team to achieve the university's goals and strengthen its academic standing.
