Department of Cybersecurity Engineering - Message and objectives

Department's message: The mission of the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering at Ashur University is to enable students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems and networks from cyber threats. Our program aims to prepare cybersecurity engineers who have the skill in the analysis, design, implementation and management of secure systems through education, practical training and learning about the latest advanced technologies used in this field, while maintaining human and ethical values. Objectives of the Department: 1. Contribute to providing students with the knowledge, skills and ability to conceive, design, engineer and implement all components of the physical cyber network system. 2. Students take basic computer engineering topics and courses on data breaches, software and hardware vulnerabilities, and possible solutions to improve the security of various computer systems from cyber attacks. 3. The program allows students to undertake practical training in industry or government organizations to improve their understanding of cybersecurity risks in a real work environment and the measures needed to mitigate them. 4. Provide a knowledge base for students about the use of modern design tools and new technologies in the practice of cybersecurity engineering. 5. Ensuring admission and success in graduate studies at internationally recognized universities. 6. Prepare students for degrees such as CISSP or CEH, or specialize in areas such as penetration testing or digital forensics. 7. Student counter to obtain relevant certificates in the field of cybersecurity such as, Certified Certified Ethical ‹ Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) . Certified Information Seeurity Manager (CISM) ‹Hacker (CEH
