The Department of Cinematic and Television Arts was established in the 2023-2024 academic year as one of the departments of the College of Fine Arts, following approval from the Ministry of Higher Education. It admitted students to its morning program for the 2023-2024 academic year, adopting the curriculum approved by the College of Fine Arts at Diyala University. The department, with its teaching staff, works to develop scientific foundations and keep pace with global scientific and technological advancements in the techniques of visual storytelling in cinema and television, while also staying abreast of all developments in cultural and artistic literature.
